Achievements & Awards
Warren developed and has niche-marketed specialised services for his community practice pharmacy business. For over 25 years he has been providing equipment for home health care, compression therapy and wound care. He was many years ahead of market trends and developed pre-eminence in the region in home health care delivery. His innovative pharmacy was also the first in Australia to provide Home Oxygen Services, and has serviced Nursing Homes and supported patients living in their own homes.
Warren was elected as the State President of his professional organisation on five occasions (totalling five years). This is a longer period than any other President in the last 30 years. He has represented the profession to the Queensland Government and nationally.
Warren has served on the academic advisory boards of the three largest universities in Southern Queensland and currently serves on the finance committee of a significant not-for-profit educational institution.
He has been recognised by a Fellowship honoris causa of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, and has been recognised with Fellowship of the Australian Institute of Management and the Australian College of Pharmacy Practice and Management.
Warren has also been awarded the Gold Medal of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia for outstanding service to the profession particularly with respect to the merger of the state societies into one national unified organisation. He has also been awarded the Australian Defence Force Cadet Service Medal with four clasps representing in excess of 35 years service to the ADFC. He continues to fulfil a senior administrative role in the ADFC, previously having held training and financial positions. He is also a nationally accredited Senior Instructor with Yachting Australia where his role is to train people to become YA instructors to teach people small boat sailing and power boating.
